The desert wildflowers know a truth most of us are only beginning to remember.

They can lie dormant as seeds for years — sometimes decades — through brutal drought and scorching heat. They wait. Patient. Holding their promise in silence. Then, when the conditions are finally right, they don’t simply bloom.

They explode.

This is a metaphor for so many women.

You have already survived the long dry seasons. The years of holding on, of adapting, of becoming strong in ways no one sees. Now the rains are arriving.

Under the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse and Blood Moon, we gather at Ojo Santa Fe —

a place where seekers have come for generations to rest in ancient spring-fed waters that bring life to the desert.

This is an intimate retreat for the woman who is ready to bloom — not in spite of the desert she has walked through, but because of it.

This is your chance to BLOOM.

OJO SANTA FE: A LUSH OASIS IN THE HIGH DESERT

The thermal waters of Ojo have a way of softening what has been held tightly for too long. You may arrive simply wanting rest. Many women leave carrying something quieter and more long-lasting — a renewed sense of sovereignty and the felt knowledge that beauty does return.

This isn't simply where you'll stay. It's part of the experience.

Tucked into 77 acres of gardens, cottonwoods and high-desert landscape, Ojo Santa Fe feels like discovering an oasis where you didn't expect one. For generations, people have been drawn to the natural spring-fed waters here to rest, soak and reconnect. During Desert Bloom, this becomes our home for four days — a place intentionally chosen to give you space to soften, exhale and step outside the noise of your everyday life.

I'M READY TO BLOOM

Desert Bloom is for the women standing at a crossroad between an old life doesn’t quite fit anymore...and the next one that hasn’t been named yet.

Just Imagine...

Wake slowly and wander to morning yoga. Wrap yourself in a robe and slip into the warm thermal pools beneath the open New Mexico sky. Walk the trails. Linger over a farm-fresh meal. Find a hammock and do absolutely nothing for a while (we know…sigh of relief, right?)

And when you retreat to your casita at the end of the day, you're still held inside the quiet of Ojo. There is something beautifully fitting about gathering here for Desert Bloom: a lush, living sanctuary fed by water in the middle of an arid landscape.

Kate Higgins

Kate Higgins is a licensed therapist with 25 years of clinical experience who left the traditional medical model to coach unconventional midlife women through the real emotional and spiritual shifts that no one talks about.

A chronic late bloomer, she brings both deep therapeutic insight and a rebellious, creative spirit shaped by her years as a touring burlesque performer. She is deeply committed to sacred silliness and believes that fun is the medicine.

Through her work, Kate helps midlife women let go of expectations: the good girl, the people pleaser, the version that made sense to their mother or their old life — so they can finally become who they truly are.

Using the four archetypes of Maiden, Mother, Empress, and Crone, creative ritual, and a healthy dose of irreverence, she guides women through her signature workshop Craft Your Crown. Whether a woman is grieving what used to be, craving more joy, or simply ready to stop shrinking, Kate holds space for the messy, tender, and sacred parts of midlife becoming.
